1 – 8 July
About the course

Trying to copy the  exact colours we see in front of us is often very difficult.  Colours, especially in a landscape, are changing all the time according to the time of day.  Choosing your own colour scheme can produce a more interesting and exciting picture.  We will look at colour choices and why some colours work better together than others.  We will also consider how the choice of paper colour can affect the final look of a painting.

Anne has always believed that everyone can draw and paint and her courses are popular because they are relaxed and fun. She believes that the way we interpret our surroundings is very individual and she encourages her students to paint in their own style. It does not matter if you are a total beginner or a more experienced artist, you can work at your own pace. Shorland has a very large, fully equipped studio, so inclement weather is never a problem.

The holiday runs from 4pm on Thursday 1 July to 10am Thursday 8 July, with 6 day’s tuition and 7 nights’ accommodation.
