About the tutor
Carol Kibble spent years working for an insurance company, but always painted “on the side”. Ten years ago, she took the plunge and left her salaried employment to become a self-employed artist. She now divides her time between painting for exhibitions, painting commissions and teaching. Her preferred medium is pastel and she runs workshops and courses in this medium as well as demonstrating to art groups. It gives her enormous pleasure to watch her students progress from tentative beginners to confident pastellists.
Carol was brought up in Wales and has now returned to live there again. Her favourite subject is British wildlife and painting animals. However, recently, encouraged by her son who is a keen cyclist, she has also become known locally for her paintings of racing cyclists.
