If you’re looking for a ready-made art holiday, please visit our Art Holidays and Courses page.
We are more than just a course centre. We offer tailored packages for a minimum stay of three nights. Meals can be arranged at times to suit your group, and we are happy to discuss any special requirements to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
We have nine guest bedrooms and eight bathrooms, sleeping up to fourteen people. Meals in the dining room are relaxed social affairs around a big farmhouse table, with hearty, home-cooked food, served on a dish-of-the-day basis.
There is a large guest lounge, with a wood burning stove, satellite TV, and DVD player. If you fancy an evening tipple before dinner (or after- or both!), you are welcome to bring your own drinks. There’s even a guest fridge to keep them cool. Relax and talk over the day’s activities, plan tomorrow’s itinerary, play a game or two (we have a selection or you can bring your own), or on a fine summer’s evening, wander into the garden and enjoy the fabulous, far-reaching views over the surrounding hills and valleys of North Devon and Exmoor.
In addition to use of the dining room and lounge, there is the option for courses and groups to take advantage of the spacious studio, with its own toilet, open plan lounge area with wood burning stove and comfy chairs, and self-catering facilities for making your own refreshments and light lunches.
The versatility and unique atmosphere of Shorland Old Farm makes it the perfect course centre, retreat or group venue.
